The Japanese say "Ba no Kuuki wo Yomu", or "being able to read the air", for those people that have a such a suptile understanding of cultural differences in business environemnts, that they can literally read through the air the mood and behavioural cues about what their counterparts feel, think and mean. Employees who possess a high level of cultural intelligence play an important role in bridging divides and knowledge gaps in an organization: educating their colleagues about different cultures; transferring knowledge between otherwise disparate groups; helping to build interpersonal connections and smooth the interpersonal processes in a multicultural workforce. Cultural Knowledge is today a science, well-documented and extensively explored academically by some of the most successful Business and Anthropology faculties worldwide. It is composed of content (what) and process (how) knowledge of other cultures, such as how and when people express disagreements with each other, or how to give feedback to subordinates.

Country Mapping Tool
With this tool you can compare how two (or more) cultures build trust, give negative feedback, and make decisions.
Personal Profile Tool
The Personal Profile tool allows me to see how you compare to others of your own culture by responding to a short questionnaire and then map your results to that of various other countries, all on one graph.
Team Mapping Tool
Much like the Personal Profile tool, this tool allows you to combine your answers from the questionnaire with those of other members of your team along the eight dimensions introduced in the book: The Culture Map. You can see on one graph the results of how you and other members have responded to those same questions.
Work with an experienced advisor
You’ll consult with a cultural competence expert who has extensive experience working with businesses across the world. I will recommend a customized, blended solution of talent development strategies, easily consumable resources, and face-to-face or online learning programs adapted for employees around the world.
Set a cultural competence benchmark and review progress
After recommending strategies, we will develop together a robust, actionable program that may include virtual, in-person, and online modules. I focus on mission-critical skills and knowledge for your teams, leaders, and employees.
How do you know you’re improving if you can’t measure your growth? I use a suite of proprietary assessments to quantify your team’s cultural competence. These assessments turn gut feelings into measurable, reportable metrics.
